The most important thing to know is that you can earn Silver Points at a Club Game!
"STaC" Stands for Sectional Tournament at Clubs.
A STaC is a Sectional Tournament, but it is held at many different clubs throughout our District. All games held in the same time session (morning, afternoon, evening) are included in the same STaC event (the game must be open and morning and afternoon games must have at least 5 tables to be in the main event). Since there are usually several sites, the results will be based on all the tables in play during the same time session, instead of just a few at the local club.
Also, because the game is sectionally rated, the number of masterpoints per table is higher than in a regular club game. The highest percentage in each stratification wins. But ALL points, even at the club level, are silver points. There is a small extra charge for playing in a STaC. Check with your club director for the table fees.
Our District holds STaCs twice a year--June and December.
