Sanction Numbers & Event Codes are on the Managers Instructions Link, Above.
ACBL Score Instructions are on the Setup & Reporting Link, Above.
All events will be stratified by average Masterpoints. See other changes in the “New Procedures” link, above.
All clubs, both open and invitational are invited to participate. Invitational clubs will be ranked only with other invitational games participating for the same session. However, invitational clubs may register and participate as open for the STaC. Participation is at the club level--units no longer control participation.
Normal registration deadline is 48 hours before the start of your session. Clubs who are not registered by 2 weeks before the start of their session are subject to having their session used by another club. See item 2 under Sponsoring Unit in District 5 Conditions of Contest posted on this website.
Sanction fees will be $6.00 per table to be remitted with the final report.
No additional funds are due the ACBL.
There will be three sessions of STaC
competition each day. First session is for games starting before noon;
second session is for games starting at noon until before 6:00 PM; third
session is for games starting on or after 6:00 PM.
No hand records will be used. The game will be run like any other of your
club games.
Please try to balance the fields, having roughly the same number of A, B and
C strata in each direction.
Strata for the main event will be: “A” 2000+ “B” 500-2000 “C” 0-500. Strat
is determined by the average of the masterpoints of the 2 members of the
pair, or of all members of a team.
Clubs running limited games (0-100, 0-200 or whatever) will award silver
points at sectional rating for that session based on attendance at the local
club and at other clubs in the same session with the same upper masterpoint
limits. Limited events must use the following
strata. Strata for limited events are no longer determined by the
individual club!
Strata for
Limited Masterpoint Games:
(participation is limited to players who qualify by
having no more than the “ceiling” number of masterpoints. Once a player
qualifies, the strat is determined by average masterpoints of the
partnership)
